If you’re a medical provider in the U.S., then you know that on October 1st 2015 we will be switching from ICD-9 to ICD-10 codes. There are more than 100,000 new codes.
A lot of medical workers are concerned that the transition might be rocky, but RateFast users need not fear.
If you’re already a RateFast member, then you’re familiar with the “Diagnoses” section of Doctor’s First, PR-2, and PR-4 reports. Currently, these pages contain lists of ICD-9 codes.
But by October 1st, the reports will include lists of common ICD-10 codes for different diagnoses. There will also be a convenient link to www.icd10data.com—a resource for looking up diagnosis codes, and converting ICD-9 to ICD-10 codes.
